Many years ago, Covan Oakland was the only survivor after a fleet of ships were caught in a great storm. They crashed into the rocks of a small island no one in Covans time period had ever known existed. Covan learned to survive. He learned to garden, to fish, to cook over a fire, and to make due with what he was able to salvage from the shipwrecks. But, most importantly, he learned to accept that hope would never come.
