The Xbox 360 version includes Kinect support with voice commands. PC and PS3 (with Move) players won’t have voice support even though both platforms could support it. Furthermore, horses only exist on the PC version.

Similar to the previous expansion, pets have dreams and ambitions just like their human counterparts. They also have missions they can partake in when you tire of letting them roam around and acting on their own accord. In the demo, you take control of a dog that needs to find his master at a bar. Once there, you have to help him find a date and hope he’ll get lucky in the process. Though the demo didn’t go into other quests, we were promised a wide range, from the normal — a dog trying to protect a junkyard from burglars — to the ridiculous, like a cat trying to build a time machine.

Gamezone over De Sims 3 Beestenbende

De Engels Gamezone heeft een artikel online gezet over De Sims 3 Beestenbende. Er staat niks nieuws is maar we melden het even vanwege de 2 leuke screens die erbij zitten.

Sims 3: Pets offers full customization of pets. You can create the type of pet you own or the one you’ve always wanted. Customize the pet’s coat, shape, pattern, color, etc. You can change the ears, tail, snout, eyes, and much more. Pets allows you to go even further than customizing your pet’s look. You can also choose their behavior pattern and traits, similar to how you choose a sim’s traits. You are given the freedom to design the pet you want. To simplify customization, Pets will use Kinect voice functionality. No more tedious scrolling through every possible choice. Now you can say exactly what breed you want and the game will select it. Those who want to experience the full creativeness of EA can check out the limited edition pack, filled with many different types of pets, such as “Tiger Dog”, a dog with a tiger-striped coat on it.

The Escapist over De Sims 3 Beestenbende

I think what I’m most excited about, the thing that makes all the difference for me, is the introduction of your pets as controllable sims. You can guide them to perform their necessary bodily functions (Yay?) and interact with other animals or people, they can even get jobs and make you some extra money. If you’re lonely you can take ‘em out on the town, to a park or a bar, and have them “Fetch a Date”. I know actual people that do this.

Is your sim president of the Lonely Hearts Club? Take Lassie to the bar and have her be cute as a button for every potential date in the place, ‘til you casually stroll over and strike up a conversation. See, you can be that guy! Lifetime Achievements are exchanged for a mystery journal that offers rewards for completing specific tasks. Your pet is finally an active member of the household.
