Sim Programs over Sims 3 event in Engeland

We hebben in dit blog al aandacht besteed aan het Sims 3 event in Londen en Manchester dat gisteren plaatsvond.

Sim Programs heeft nu wat meer informatie verzameld en bij elkaar gezet op deze pagina en die wordt regelmatig geupdate. Hier een paar van de vele interessante feitjes:

• There are three separate voices for each age group, and you can adjust the pitch to whatever you want.
• Traits are placed in five categories – Mental, Physical, Lifestyle, Social, and All.
• There are high-heeled shoes
• There’s no auto-load when you place a family in their first home.
• There’s an option to sit on the edge of fountains.
• Tables and chairs are automatically locked together, so when you move the table the chairs come with it. Likewise, when you delete/sold the table, the chairs are deleted/sold too
• The paper is delivered by children, and there’s a different one each day
• Teens don’t have Lifetime Wishes until they grow up.
• You can choose to create young adults, palettes for eyeshadow and eyeliner, multi-coloured blushes, glossy lipsticks, matt lipsticks etc, lots of accesories that can be overlayed well. Legwarmers and also barefeet!
• Raising your skill levels can give you advantages, i.e. if you increase your athletics skill, you get the option to ‘Work Out Without Making A Sweat’, meaning your Sims won’t get smelly.

Curfew: Teens and children have a curfew to be home by. Curfew question’s been floating around this board. Guess that means adults DON’T have a curfew, and can presumably be downtown all night 🙂 Also wonder if kids can break curfew?

Bathing suits: you can choose the top part and the bottom part, was gr8 :O Customized bikinis! Wonder if it applies to one-piece suits too?

Infants get one trait (and the player picks it): Previous stuff I’d read seemed to suggest that infants had 0, toddlers have 2. Really this makes more sense 🙂

Athletes get star treatment: it is cool to see your top athelete walking out of the gym to a crowd of people screaming

Friends panel as phone book: In the friendship pannel, if you click on a person’s immage, you can call or invite them over. Wow, VERY handy 🙂

Ghostbuster repoman?! One of the surprises happened when the person I watched entered their home for the first time and found out that her home was on an ancient burial groud, and she was asked whether she wanted to immediately get rid of the ghosts, or if she wanted to manage it. She said yes, so the lot had several ghosts in it. Later, the Repoman appeared and offered to get rid of the ghosts for her, and as she was getting bored of them she said yes. Ghostbuster Repoman to the rescue!

Trait-based autonomous behaviors: yeah my sim was athletic so he flexed his pecs all the time when he saw women he wave or gave them that two fingers gun sign and because he was charismatic he would wave to random people Knew there was stuff like this in game but nice to see some detail 🙂

Work options differ per career: for me i could chose business as usual, work hard, meet musicians,chill with musicians, study music theory. I knew there were work options but I didn’t know every job had different ones 😀

Buy/build interface choice: Buy and build mose are either in the usual categories, or in a picture mode where you click on the item you want. Glad to hear that — I know some people like it but I really dislike the picture style buy/build catalog.

Some new descriptions of LTWs: Be Surrounded by Family (raise 5 children from baby to teen), Have a PerfectGarden (Grow 8 Plants/Fruit), and Lap of Luxury (100,000 simoleons). These seem more reachable than some of the Sims 2 LTWs.
